Data protection

We appreciate your interest in our online shop. Protecting your privacy is very important to us. Below, we provide detailed information about how we handle your data.

  1. ACCESS DATA AND HOSTING

You can visit our website without providing any personal information. Each time you access a website, the web server automatically saves a so-called server log file, which contains, for example, the name of the requested file, your IP address, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, and the requesting provider (access data), and documents the access.

This access data is evaluated solely for the purpose of ensuring the smooth operation of the site and improving our offering. This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in the accurate presentation of our offering, which prevail within the context of a balancing of interests. All access data is deleted at the latest seven days after your visit to the site.

  1. DATA COLLECTION AND USE FOR CONTRACT EXECUTION, CONTACT AND OPENING A CUSTOMER ACCOUNT

We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order or when you contact us (e.g., via contact form or email). Mandatory fields are marked as such, as in these cases we absolutely need the data to process the contract or your contact, and without it you cannot send the order or contact. The data collected is evident from the respective input forms. We use the data you provide to process the contract and your inquiries.

If you have given your consent to this by deciding to open a customer account, we will use your data for the purpose of opening the customer account.

After the contract has been fully processed or your customer account has been deleted, your data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after the expiration of the retention periods required by tax and commercial law, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use your data in any other way that is permitted by law and about which we will inform you in this statement. You can delete your customer account at any time and can do so either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a dedicated function in your customer account.

  1. DATA SHARING

To fulfill the contract, we will pass on your data to the shipping company commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods. Depending on the payment service provider you select during the ordering process, we will pass on the payment data collected for this purpose to the credit institution commissioned with the payment and, if applicable, to the payment service provider commissioned by us or to the selected payment service provider for the purpose of processing payments. In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves if you create an account with them. In this case, you must log in to the payment service provider using your access data during the ordering process. The privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies in this respect.

Data transfer to shipping service providers
If you have given us your express consent to do so during or after your order, we will pass on your email address and telephone number to the selected shipping service provider so that they can contact you prior to delivery to notify you of the delivery or coordinate delivery. You can revoke your consent at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below or directly to the shipping service provider at the contact address listed below. After revocation, we will delete the data you have provided for this purpose unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use the data in any other way that is permitted by law and about which we will inform you in this declaration.

  1. EMAIL NEWSLETTER

Email advertising with newsletter registration
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the data required for this purpose or separately provided by you to regularly send you our email newsletter based on your consent.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. You can do so either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter. After unsubscribing, we will delete your email address from the recipient list unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use the data in any other way that is permitted by law and about which we will inform you in this policy.

E-mail advertising without registration for the newsletter and your right of objection
If we receive your email address in connection with the sale of a product or service and you have not objected, we reserve the right, based on legal grounds, to regularly send you offers for products similar to those you have already purchased from our range by email. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in advertising to our customers, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests.

You can object to this use of your e-mail address at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the advertising e-mail, without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates.

  1. INTEGRATION OF THE TRUSTED SHOP TRUSTBADGE

The Trusted Shops Trustbadge is integrated into this website to display our Trusted Shops seal of approval and any reviews collected, as well as to offer Trusted Shops products to buyers after an order.

This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests, which prevail within the context of a balancing of interests, in optimal marketing by enabling secure shopping. The Trustbadge and the services advertised with it are offered by Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15C, 50823 Cologne, Germany. The Trustbadge is provided as part of contract processing by a CDN (Content Delivery Network) provider. Trusted Shops GmbH also uses service providers from the USA. An appropriate level of data protection is ensured. Further information on Trusted Shops GmbH's data protection policy can be found here .

When you access the Trustbadge, the web server automatically saves a so-called server log file, which also contains your IP address, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, and the requesting provider (access data), and documents the access. Individual access data is stored in a security database for the analysis of security irregularities. The log files are automatically deleted no later than 90 days after creation.

Further personal data will be transferred to Trusted Shops GmbH if, after completing an order, you decide to use Trusted Shops products or have already registered for use. The contractual agreement between you and Trusted Shops applies. For this purpose, personal data is automatically collected from the order data. Whether you, as a buyer, are already registered to use a product is automatically checked using a neutral parameter, the email address hashed using a cryptographic one-way function. Before transmission, the email address is converted into this hash value, which Trusted Shops cannot decrypt. After checking for a match, the parameter is automatically deleted.

This is necessary to fulfill our and Trusted Shops' overriding legitimate interests in providing buyer protection and transactional rating services linked to the specific order. Further details, including the right to object, can be found in the Trusted Shops privacy policy linked above and in the Trustbadge.

  1. COOKIES AND WEB ANALYSIS

In order to make visiting our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, to display suitable products or for market research, we use so-called cookies on various pages. Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for web analysis
If you have given your consent, this website uses Google (Universal) Analytics for the purpose of website analysis. This web analysis service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, a company registered and operated under Irish law with its registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. ( www.google.de ). Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods, such as cookies, that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The automatically collected information about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. By activating IP anonymization on this website, the IP address is shortened before transmission within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The anonymized IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is generally not merged with other Google data. Once the purpose no longer applies and we no longer use Google Analytics, the data collected in this context is deleted.

To the extent that information is transferred to and stored on Google servers in the USA, the American company Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. A current certificate can be viewed here . Based on this agreement between the USA and the European Commission, the latter has determined an adequate level of data protection for companies certified under the Privacy Shield.

You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de . This will prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data.

As an alternative to the browser plug-in, you can click this link to prevent Google Analytics from tracking your data on this website in the future. This will place an opt-out cookie on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will be asked to give your consent again.

Use of etracker for web analysis
If you have given your consent, this website uses technologies from etracker GmbH ( www.etracker.com ) to automatically collect and store data for the purpose of website analysis. This data is then used to create user profiles using pseudonyms. Cookies may be used for this purpose. The pseudonymized user profiles will not be merged with personal data about the bearer of the pseudonym without your express, separate consent. Once the purpose no longer applies and we no longer use eTracker, the data collected in this context will be deleted. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect by clicking this link .

After you revoke your consent, an opt-out cookie will be stored on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will be asked to provide your consent again.
